It Can't Be This Easy...oh, But It Is!

Office service

1.  Get Referral Order

Chapter 151  requires the parties to submit a Motion and Order for Referral to the presiding judge assigned to the case.   The referral will remove the case from the presiding judge's docket to allow the "special judge" under Chapter 151 to take over the case in its entirety.

Please see our sample referral motion and order.

2.  Reserve Your Courtroom

Contact Judge 151 with the mutually agreed upon dates and times available for the parties.  We will endeavor to meet the parties' calendar selections.

Let us know if the trial will take place at a counsel's conference room, or, if a neutral location will be needed. The cost for a neutral location will be divided equally among the parties if Judge 151 utilizes a partnering conference facility.

Don't forget to make arrangements for the court reporter.  Court reporting fees should be divided equally among the parties and will be scheduled by counsel.

NO LATER THAN 10 CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO AGREED TRIAL DATE.
